Rachel Thompson

Author Interview – Sonja Hegman @ChiefWordsmith

*Have you ever had writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it?

Of course, everyone gets writer’s block. I do many things, but most often I’ll take a walk, do yoga or watch a half and hour of TV. Just take a break from thinking about the piece and that will usually do the trick.

*Can you share a little of your current work with us?

In “Trials of an Entrepreneurial Virgin” I hash out my trials of being a creative and trying to figure out the business side. Many of the stories in the book are humorous at my expense.

*How did you come up with the title?

It just came to me one day. I started it as a series on my blog at the time and realized it would be a great title for a book.

*Who is your publisher?

Open Door Publications

*Will you write others in this same genre?

Yes, I have at least two other how-to books up my sleeve.

*What are your goals as a writer?

I’d love to move to L.A. and work in T.V. or movies. That’s been my dream since I started writing, but I became derailed along way.

*Where do you see yourself in five years?

Living in L.A. writing screenplays and producing.

*Do you have any advice for writers?

Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.
